Eve is not / has never been a sleeper.
We’ve chosen to cosleep through necessity and have tried many many times to coax Eve into sleeping alone with very limited success.
In another potentially futile bid for some more sleep, or at least less kicks to the face while trying to sleep, I have taken one side off her cot so that I can slide her over once she drifts off.
Our first night was last night and there was limited success due to an upset Eve with an upset tummy, but I think* I got at least a few hours of sleep with her not on me.
If nothing else she is at least happy to play in and out of the cot during the day, ensuring her teddies get snuggled, tucked in and sometimes dropped on their head.
However small I’m claiming this as a victory.
*I refuse to have a clock in the bedroom as I’m sure I’d go insane seeing every hour every night.
